Classes start in term 4 2011, if there’s interest, we’ll run a 5 week block. Please contact us!
Classes for all age groups will start in term 1 2012. There’ll be a lunch time class for 3-4 year olds and after school classes for 5-8 year olds and tweens. Teens will get their special class as well.

Why Yoga for children?
Children also develop strong, flexible and healthy bodies through Yoga. Yoga help to improve posture and improves body awareness. We teach breathing techniques they can also use at school or at home to help them manage all sorts of emotions and situations. Children learn how to live a healthy life and Yoga helps to improve digestion and circulation. In all age groups children cultivate confidence and self-esteem. Yoga improves concentration and helps to sleep better and be calmer. Children learn to accept themselves just as they are. And cultivate kindness to themselves and others.

Yoga Australia has set a standard for children’s Yoga teachers. Only a few in Victoria are fully accredited kid’s Yoga teachers. I am, my name is Natja. I hold a diploma for Advanced Yoga Teaching and have just finished the Foundation and Advanced course with Zenergy. I can’t wait to teach your children. It’s amazing how much fun it is and how much children gain from a regular Yoga practice. Children learn how to recognize their feelings, they learn to trust themselves. Yoga brings sparkles into kid’s eyes and a smile on their lips that is coming from the inside out. The older kids additionally benefit by being able to concentrate better which aids in the class room and with exams Stress management is important for them as well. Childhood is a huge journey starting when they are very little up to being a teenager. Teenagers can participate in a general class but get a lot more out of a teenager class where they learn about their emotions and how to deal with all the changes their minds and bodies go through.
